You can never run too far from the individual calling and purpose God has placed on YOUR life.

I would love to share a sweet little truth I was reminded of while delving into the story of Jonah a few weeks ago - You can never run too far from the individual calling and purpose God has placed on YOUR life.

Jonah got a specific instruction from God to go and preach against the evil they were pursuing in the land of Nineveh. Jonah didn’t feel capable to do what God had asked of him so he ran and hid. As a result of his actions he ended up in the belly of a large fish for 3 days and 3 nights. As we continue through his story, we see deep repentance from Jonah and through this, God’s will for him was carried out and Jonah fulfilled the calling God placed over him.

Have you ever had God asks something of you that seems so ridiculously out of reach and completely impossible for you to achieve? So much so, you want to run and hide? I know I have! But here is some good news for you friend, you will never be able to fulfil your calling in your own strength. You can only do it through God and God alone. He has the most precious plan for each one of you. Stop allowing your fears, doubts and negative mindsets hold you back from the wonder He can do through you. He is a Father of relentless grace and tender mercy so even if we go off track he still uses the longer paths to teach, love and guide us back. The first step is always the scariest and sure enough you will find yourself running in abounding grace, holding hands with your sweet Saviour in places you never thought you could venture to because He makes you brave, strong and courageous.
