Something to remember for the hard seasons
Isaiah 42:2 AMP
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.”
God is your ever present help for everything you go through. Whether you’re in a good prosperous season, or in a difficult confusing season, you can take courage knowing that you have a father in heaven looking out for you.
In the verse, it says ‘when’ you pass through the waters and ‘when’ you walk through the fire. It’s inevitable that we will go through the hard
seasons, everyone goes through stuff. But today would you take a moment to remember God. He says He will be a firm foundation for you in every season. The absence of peace is not the absence of God but is a time of strengthening your faith in God as you find yourself needing to rely on Him and be overcome with His presence.
No matter what you are facing today would you accept God as your foundation, taking steps towards Him and away from the confusion. God’s provision in your life doesn’t mean you won’t face trials, but it
means you’ll live through it, above the waters, not overwhelmed.
Prayer for today: Thank you God that you love me and have said you will be with me. I pray that as I face trials that I will not forget what you have said but will understand you are strengthening my faith in you. Go before me in everything I do, God. I love you and I am proud to serve you. In your name, I pray, Amen.
Questions for today:
- In trials do I look at how big my problems are or do I look at how able my father is?
- What trials am I going through that I need to hand over to God?
